Should you buy a mixer grinder or a food processor?
It depends on how you cook — here's a simple framework.

If your cooking is 80% Indian — daily dal, chutney, masala, dosa batter — a mixer grinder is non-negotiable. Nothing else wet-grinds coconut or urad dal without a fight.
But if you also bake, meal-prep with lots of chopped vegetables, or love hummus and pesto, a food processor earns its counter space. The Bosch MCM3501M is a common recommendation.
Our take: start with a mixer grinder (the Prestige Iris 750W is a workhorse), then add a compact food processor once you know your actual cooking patterns. Buying both upfront usually leaves one gathering dust.
